Xabi Alonso completes move to Bayern Munich | August 29, 2014 

The German side confirmed that the player has signed on for two seasons for a reported fee near €10 million.

After Thursday’s medical in Munich, he returned to Madrid to hold a press conference at the Santiago Bernabéu the following morning. There he explained his decision for the switch.

“After winning the Décima, I feel that a new cycle is starting at the club, and that I too should need a new one. I wanted to be honest with myself and with the club and to know when is the time to say goodbye.” [+]
